Both men and women battle a close game

Both the women's and men's basketball teams finished with a win tonight, but not so easy. The women's team battled at home against Evansville (4-4), while the men's team started their conference games on the road against Detroit (4-4). Both Candace Brown and Susan Lester led the team with 32 points. The Bulldogs went into half-time with the lead by three points. This is the fifth straight win for the lady bulldogs and improved their record to 7-1. The Purple Aces did not give up without a fight, even up to the end when they came within three, foul shots pushed the Bulldogs lead even higher, along with a technical foul called on the opposing team's coach. The next game for the women's basketball team will be after finals, Dec. 16 against the Tennessee State Tigers. For the men, the next game will be on the road against Wright State, on Saturday evening.
