The men's and women's Horizon League Player of the week are Butler Bulldogs this week.
Matt Howard is the men's award winner. He earned this honor by scoring a career high 23 points on Saturday in Butler's victory over Ohio State. He led all scores in the game. He also had had 7 rebounds, tied for the game high, 2 assists and a steal.
Lade Akande won is the women's award winner. She earned this honor by scoring 20 points, a game high, in just 20 minutes of action in Butler's victory over Indiana State on Saturday. She also had 9 rebounds in the game. This is the third time in four weeks she has received this award.
