The Lady Bulldogs beat Tennessee State 72-62 on Sunday. Lade Akande led the Bulldogs with 23 points including 3-6 at the free throw line. Susan Lester had a double double as she scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
The Bulldogs led for virtually the entire game. Their largest lead was 13 at the 12:10 mark in the second half. Tennessee State almost caught up several times, but the Bulldogs responded by scoring and playing great defense. The biggest stat that stood out to me is that Tennessee State turned the ball over 27 times which resulted in 22 points for the Bulldogs.
The Lady Bulldogs are now 8-1. Their next game is against IPFW on Thursday at Hinkle. The tip off is at Noon.
